Standardized Testing

Victory Charter School administers the following standardized tests:

Idaho Reading Indicator (IRI)

• This test is given to grades Kindergarten through 3^rd Grade.
• It is given in the Fall, Winter and Spring.
• This test measures students’ reading ability including comprehension, pronunciation, word recognition and spelling.

ISATs (Idaho Standardized Achievement Test)

• ISATs are administered in the Fall and Spring to grades 2 through 9.
• They are taken on computers in the Computer Lab.
• Students are tested in 3 main areas
  • Math
  • Reading
  • Language usage

DWA and DMA (Direct Writing Assessment and Direct Math Assessment)

• The DWA is administered to grades 5^th, 7^th and 9^th each Fall. 
• The DMA is administered to grades 4^th, 6^th and 8^th each Fall.
• These are hand written tests and are corrected at the state level by no less than two people.  Schools do not receive results until Spring.
